"This path begins here, between a bank branch and a spring,
Unpaved, not always marked, this path begins here."
As one whose paths have not always been simple and for whom the way has special significance, a hike on the paths of this land, to the sounds of an Ehud Banai song, is a unifying and solidifying experience. Gay Place in the Valley organizes four hikes per year, one for each season. The hikes are open to everyone, and at the end of them we hold a huge picnic and instrumental jam session featuring community talent from among all those who have come along."

This path begins here
Between a bank branch and a spring
Unpaved , not always marked
This path begins here
It crosses the city
Climbs up a hill
Washing to the sea
It continues on and on
Cuts through the air, between the buildings
Comes out to the light, to a new life
Go on it, go on it now
A flock of birds above you
Accompany your steps
From afar a light is lit
Don't stray, so that you can return
This song begins here
Blue on a page of white
Not completed, not always directed
This song begins here
It crosses the city
Climbs up on a hill
This song begins here
It crosses the city
Climbs up on a hill
Washing to the sea
It continues on and on
Cuts through the air, between the buildings
Comes out to the light, to a new life
It continues on and on
Cuts through the air, between the buildings
Comes out to the light, to a new life
